Our Sitters

Our sitters are picked for their honesty, professionalism, competence and reliability. We recruit active, responsible people throughout the UK, including ex police officers, ex civil servants and also those studying animal care at the best universities. Prospective sitters are thoroughly vetted and references checked.

Our sitters will ultimately use their common sense and objectivity concerning the length of time that they are away from your pets and property. As a guideline we have a 4 hour limit however, we appreciate that this may differ depending on the pets needs. They will not leave until you return home, unless specified to do so. They follow our hand-over procedure and will ask for your signature. Any visitors must be agreed by us and will only include family and close friends, usually concerning a longer term assignment

We have a variety of sitters and will allocate the most adequate sitter we have for you, whether that is a keen dog walker, cat lover or both.

We stringently monitor every assignment and call/email you on your return to assess your level of customer satisfaction.

Our goal is for you to view the sitter as a friend, someone you can trust to come back and do a great job every time you need them.

Previous sitters have started out house sitting part-time, alongside study or another occupation and have since become the owners/franchisees of some of the most profitable and successful operations within the GB Pet Sitters Franchise.
